The artist depicted with love for detail treatment, so as beautiful coloring and experienced academic style, an attractive interior with a young elegantly dressed lady reading (presumably fashion journals) while sitting at a Biedermeier desk. The room is equipped with various antiques and on the floor spreading a Oriental rug. The composition gives feminine charm, and also a so-called light touch perfume, which reminds to masterpieces by French interior painters of the 18th Century.
Schuster was a pupil of Julius Berger, Leopold Carl Mueller, JM Trenkwald and Sigmund I'Allemand. He painted primary figures, interiors and landscapes. He traveled to Egypt, America, Holland, Belgium, southern France, Switzerland and Germany. Since 1903 he was a member of the Wiener Künstlerhaus (Vienna House of Artists). 1946, he received the award of „Goldenen Lorbeer“ from the Wiener Künstlerhaus. 1971 grand memorial exhibition of his works at Gallery Makow in Klagenfurt .
